Plasat în lumea sporturilor de contact din vestul Los Angeles-ului, filmul urmăreşte povestea lui Mike Terry, un profesor de jiu-jitsu care a evitat să se implice în circuitele profesioniste de lupte şi a preferat să-şi deschidă alături de soţie un curs de auto-apărare. În urma unui incident petrecut la club, între un poliţist şi un avocat neatent, Terry este nevoit să urce în ring pentru prima oară, în încercarea de a-şi achita datoriile şi de a-şi recupera respectul.

Summary: The idealistic instructor of jujitsu, Mike Terry, refuses to compete in the ring for principle and is training the promising fighter and police officer Joe Collins. When the stressed lawyer Laura Black stumbles in his academy in a rainy night, she accidentally shots Joe’s pistol breaking the front window. Mike and Joe do not report the incident, and Mike’s wife Sondra tells him that they do not have money to repair the window. Mike seeks Sondra’s brother in a bar to raise a loan, but he does not find his brother-in-law; he befriends the actor Chet Frank after rescuing him in a fight in the bar. Chet invites Terry and Sondra for a dinner party at his home and gives a golden watch as a gift. Mike gives the watch to Joe for pawning, but the watch is stolen and Joe gets in trouble in the police. Meanwhile Mike’s idea of fight with handicap is stolen by a group of gamblers and Sondra raises a debt of US$ 30,000.00 for an unsuccessful business with Chet’s wife. Without other option, Mike decides to fight in the ring to raise the necessary money to pay his debts

Description: Unjustly expelled from Harvard when a stash of cocaine is found in his possession, Matt (Elijah Wood) moves to London to live with his sister and her husband Steve (Marc Warren.) He is quickly introduced to Steve’s chirpy, cock-sure younger brother Pete (Charlie Hunnam.) Initially, Pete is reluctant to get acquainted with Matt and allow him to tread around the capital city with him because he may be seen by others as an ‘outsider’, but after a heavy drinking session with him and his mates he quickly changes his opinion of him. On the way back from a football match, Matt is viciously accosted by a gang of Birmingham City thugs, until Pete and his friends step in and save him. It is from here that Matt learns the truth about Pete and his friends- they are football hooligans, operating the GSE (Green Street Elite) ‘firm.’ Initially afraid of the violence, Matt soon ends up becoming as desensitized to it as his new found friends- but as events roll on, suspicion, shocking revelations and unsettled scores combine to a devastating climax where London’s most fierce football rivals- Millwall and West Ham United- are set to go head to head.

Au trecut multi ani de cand James “Animal” Allen si-a asumat vina pentru crimele pe care le-a comis si a decis sa iasa din lumea interlopa. Acum fostul gangster inca isi savarseste pedeapsa la inchisoarea Folsom. Cand izbucneste un conflict intre negri si mexicani, Animal este transferat la inchisoarea Susanville. Acolo acesta afla ca fiul sau James Jr. este acuzat de crima. Acum tatal trebuie sa se intoarca la trecutul lui intunecat si sa devina din nou un luptator pentru a-si salva fiul.

Summary: Years after being shot by his eldest son Darius and taking the fall for his crimes, former gangster James “Animal” Allen serves a life sentence at Folsom Prison. When a riot breaks out between the Blacks and Mexicans, Animal is transferred to Susanville Prison. While serving his time, Animal learns that his son, James Jr., is framed for murder and the one responsible for calling the shots is on the inside. He is blackmailed and forced to return to his dark past as a fighter in order to save his son. On the outside, Darius, now a reformed man, maintains his relationship with his father and does everything in his power with the help of his lawyer to gather enough evidence to clear James Jr’s name

In majoritatea religiilor “A Cincea Porunca” inseamna: “Cinsteste-i pe tatal si pe mama ta”. Astfel, in filmul cu acelasi titlu simbolic, Max “Coolbreeze” Templeton (Keith David) este tatal adoptiv al lui Chance Templeton (Rick Yune). Daca Chance este catolic, atunci sensul poruncii “Sa nu ucizi” este o tema potrivita pentru un film in care rolul principal este detinut de un asasin.
Sa nu uitam ca Chance este un ucigas care refuza sa omoare o cantareata, Angel (Dania Ramirez) si atunci devine tinta multora dintre asasinii din Bangkok.
In ceea ce priveste titlul, “A Cincea Porunca”, acesta este deschis interpretarilor. Este posibil ca Yune, caci el este scenaristul filmului, sa intrepatrunda cele doua teme intr-un singur film, pornind de la premisa ca trebuie sa-ti cinstesti tatal si sa nu ucizi pe nimeni.
Ultimul lucru ar fi cam greu de indeplinit deoarece a proteja pe cineva inseamna sa elimini oamenii care vor sa omoare persoana draga. “The Fifth Commandment” este un proiect plin de inteligenta care dezvaluie talentul de scenarist al lui Yune.

Summary: In Bangkok, an assassin who turns down a job that hits too close to home finds himself targeted by the elite members of his profession.

Bo este un tip practic, mare amator de mancare bine gatita si un luptator innascut, ce stapaneste aproape la perfectie artele martiale. Originar de undeva din stepa chinezeasca, acesta vine in Hong Kong pentru o aparenta vacanta. Retras pe o insula ce tine de Hong Kong, in scurt timp isi dezvaluie talentul de razboinic, omorand cu sange rece cativa mafioti intr-o actiune “sinucigasa” purtata in plina noapte. Toate gandurile duc la faptul ca Bo nu ar fi decat un asasin platit de catre o banda rivala, pentru a-si lichida concurenta. Dar a doua zi, apropierea unui taifun taie principala legatura a insulei cu Hong-Kong-ul, feribotul. Izolat pe insula, unde tocmai au sosit niste mafioti periculosi, acesta o cunoaste pe Hui, o politista locala. Iar de aici, lucrurile iau o turnura neasteptata, in momentul in care micuta insula devine un adevarat teatru de razboi, unde se vor infrunta mafioti si politisti deopotriva. Ce rol are Bo in toate aceste evenimente ramane sa descoperiti vizionand filmul.

Avandu-l ca partener de celula pe un criminal notoriu si fiind supus unor tratamente inumane de catre un gardian al inchisorii, Wade realizeaza ca singura sa sansa de supravietuire este sa devina cel mai puternic dintre detinuti. Ceea ce nu te ucide, te face mai puternic, iar in inchisoare doar cei puternici supravietuiesc.

Jake Tyler (Sean Faris) s-a mutat de curand in Orlando (Florida) cu familia lui. Starul echipei de fotbal a liceului din orasul natal este acum doar un “outsider” cu o reputatie de scandalagiu. Atunci cand este umilit si invins in lupta, un coleg decide sa ii povesteasca despre Artele Martiale Combinate (Mixed Martial Arts – MMA) si il prezinta mentorului sau, Jean Roqua (Djimon Hounsou). Jake intelege imediat ca MMA nu este o simpla lupta de strada, ci mai degraba o forma de arta, pe care isi doreste sa o stapaneasca. Un film care ne reaminteste ca toti avem propria lupta de dus, Nu da inapoi vine pe marile ecrane din Romania pe 18 aprilie.
