Based in Budbuda, Uttar Pradesh, Billu Vilas Pardesi barely makes a living as a barber. His wife, Bindiya, looks after the household, and his children, Gunja and Ronak, are on the verge of being expelled from Gyaan Bharti Vidyalay Higher Secondary School due to non-payment of fees. Then everything changes when Bollywood actor Sahir Khan makes an appearance to film a movie in the town. Rumors spread that Billu is Sahir’s close friends, and he becomes a celebrity virtually overnight. His shop gets donations and clientèle, and the school decides to educate his children for free. 99 ne prezinta o poveste cu evenimente reale dar exagerate, este o comedie ce are in prim plan intamplarile a 2 oameni din 2 orase diferite, ce sunt urmariti de aceleasi sentimente. Filmul este o comedie indiana lansata pe 15 mai anul acesta si are intentia de a depasi fagasurile Indiei, fiind foarte apropiat de filmele de la Hollywood. In momentul de fata, pe imdb are o nota foarte buna, anume 7,7 , ceea ce inseamna ca la numai o luna de la lansare, “99″ este foarte bine vazut in intreaga lume.

Ravi Yadv este servitor in casa lui Manohar Singh si a sotiei lui, Renuka. Ravi are un frate mai tanar, Rihan Yadav. Dupa ce anii trec si Ravi iese din inchisoare, descopera ca Renuka a murit si ca de Rohan nu se stie nimic. Intre timp, Rohan fusese adoptat de avocatul Gujral si de sotia acestuia, Yashoda. Acum, Rohan este cunoscut ca Vasudev Gujral, avocat de meserie. Vasudev este indragostit de Payal Singh, care, ironia sortii, este fiica lui Manohar Singh. Ravi afla ca Renuka traieste, dar ca si-a pierdut memoria. Description: Ravi Yadav (Vinod Khanna) is employed as a servant with Manohar Singh (Rajiv Verma) and his wife, Renuka (Moushumi Chatterjee). Ravi has a younger brother, Rohan Yadav (Salman Khan). Ravi is falsely implicated in the murder of a woman, and is sentenced to 12 years in prison. Renuka assures him that she will take care of Rohan. After his sentence is over, he comes out of prison, to find out that Renuka is not alive; and the whereabouts of Rohan are unknown. Rohan, in the meantime, has been adopted by Lawyer Gujral (Saeed Jaffrey), and his wife Yashoda (Reema Lagoo). Rohan is now known as Vasudev Gujral, a lawyer by profession. Vasudev is in love with Payal Singh (Karisma Kapoor), who happens to be the daughter of Manohar Singh. Ravi finds out that Renuka is alive but her memory is diminished. He starts medical treatment for Renuka, but needs money, and he accepts a contract to kill Vasudev Gujral, from Joseph Lobo (Avtar Gill), little knowing that he is about to kill his own long-separated brother. ‘Nishchaiy’ is the story of two brothers, Ravi and Rohan Yadav separated due to unforeseen circumstances created by Ravi’s employer Manohar Singh who suspects Ravi of having an affair with his wife Renuka. Ravi is sent to prison for a crime which he never committed and Rohan is adopted by Renuka’s friend Yashoda. Years later, Ravi, a branded criminal is released from prison and Rohan, a successful lawyer now known as Vasu Gujral, clash with each other unaware of the fact that they are real brothers. This clash is engineered by none other than Manohar Singh, who is responsible for their separation years ago.

Awaara, tradus in romana” Vagabondul” este un film indian realizt la inceputul anilor ’50 care s-a bucurat de un real succes atat la public cat si in lumea criticii cinematografice : la Cannes Film Festival , in 1953 a fost nominalizat pentru Grand Prize of the Festival interpretul principal al filmului , actorul indian de o celebritate mondiala Raj Kapoor. Regizat chiar de actor, filmul este o poveste emotionanta de viata.

Raj Raghunath (Raju) traieste, cerseste si canta pe strazi, el este un copil sarman a caruii mama Leela, a fost alungata de tatal sau inca de cand acesta era mic copil. Pe cand era la scoala se indragosteste de Rita (interpretata de o alta voce celebra a filmului indian : Nargis) pe care o intalneste acum, cand este sarac si pe drumuri vesnic vagabondand. Ea este o fata bogata, intelectuala si dragostea reapare… dar este supusa la multe incercari… Desi un film comercial, a ramas in memoria cinefililor si mai ales a celora ce indragesc filmele indiene.

Summary: Raju lives as a derelict as a result of being estranged from his bitter father, a district judge, who threw Raju’s mother out of the house years ago. Raju shacks up with a Dacoit (pickpocket bandit) as his surrogate father only to realize that the man is actually responsible for the original misunderstanding between his parents. Raju kills him, and then tries killing his father, but fails, is arrested, and is taken to court right before his very own father, who presides there as the Judge. Raju has his childhood girlfriend as his legal representative, and the onus is now on his father, who must pass judgment without showing any personal sentiment.

He contact Dr. Harry and was again attack but this time he sent away his wife and new born baby son by putting a mark on his arm. Fearing that the baby may fall into the British arm his mother decides to leave him into an orphanage. Later on the boy grows up and was called Mard with intelligence to protect his own country, a woman name Jamuna and her husband brought him up. On a chance encounter he happen to meet up with beautiful and charming Ruby on a mischap and later on found out it was Dr. Harry’s daughter, on a strange incident both Ruby and Mard falls in love. But her father had other plans for her to marry slave master and stone hearted Danny who harasses Ruby and Mard alot but soon he meet up with a slave and later on found out that it was his mother. He happen to meet up with another slave too later in which he had to fight and the two found out that it was father and son because of the mark on Mard’s arm since childhood. They had to fight in order to impress the British. But because of a horse name “Badal” and a wonder dog name “Moti” they were able to eliminate the British and saves the country’s future

Pardes (1997) Foreign Land

Pardes, is about Kishorilal (Puri) who lives in America but has not forgotten his motherland India. His attachment with the country is deep and he hopes to find a daughter-in-law for his westernized, American son, Rajiv (Agnihotri). He is especially taken by Ganga (Chaudhry), the daughter of his friend Suraj Dev (Nath). He offers a marriage proposal between Ganga and Rajiv and they accept. He sends his foster son, Arjun ( Shah Rukh Khan) to ensure Ganga approves of Rajiv. Soon Rajiv joins them and eventually both approve of each other. The engagement is set in India with the wedding in America. Ganga leaves for America with her new family and begins to adjust to her new surroundings. Her only friend is Arjun who she begins to form a special bond with. At first everything seems ok but as time goes on she realizes that Rajiv really isn’t the person Arjun described to her while she was in India. She is right when she sees Rajiv smoking, drinking and to her shock finds out that he is still seeing his former girlfriend. She confronts Arjun and he realizes that he has fallen in love with her. Unfortunately her to be father-in-law sees this and he tells Arjun to leave the city. Ganga, now alone goes to Las Vegas with Rajiv. In a drunken state Rajiv tries to rape Ganga, she manages to knock him unconscious and runs away. Arjun, finds out Ganga is missing and looks for her. He finds her at a train station crying her eyes out and her clothes torn, she explains that Rajiv tried to rape her. He agrees to send her to India back to her family. Suraj Dev is misinformed with the circumstances in which Arjun brought Ganga to India. Believing Arjun ran away with Ganga, he tries to kill him. He fails and tells Arjun to leave the house. Suraj Dev does not listen to Ganga and she is locked up in a shed. She realizes that she is in love with Arjun. By this time Kishorilal has come to India. Rajiv comes as well and is ready to kill Arjun and take Ganga back to America. With the help of her brothers and sisters she manages to escape and stop Arjun from leaving. Rajiv and his friends finds them and beats Arjun up. He manages to break free and he beats Rajiv up, just when he is about to kill him, Kishorilal stops him. The truth comes out and he confesses in front of everyone is love for Ganga, yet he walks away and leaves her. Ganga tells everyone that Rajiv tried to rape her. Kishorilal realizes that his son is not good enough for Ganga and he breaks the engagement and tells Ganga to marry Arjun. Ganga and Arjun reunite and both get married. Owner of a 550 million dollar industry in the U.S., Kishorilal (Amrish Puri) travels to his homeland, India, to meet with his childhood friend, Suraj Dev (Alok Nath). Once there, he meets with Suraj’s daughter Ganga Kusum (Mahima Chaudhary), and asks for her hand in marriage with his only son, Rajivlal (Apoorva Agnihotri), which they accept. Kishorilal returns to the U.S. and instructs his ward, Arjun (Shahrukh Khan) to go to India with Rajiv and ensure that Ganga approves of Rajiv, and he does so. The families have an engagement ceremony, and Kishorilal, Rajiv, and Ganga go to the U.S. Once in the U.S., Ganga finds out that Kishorilal and his family are very wealthy, but nose-in-the-air snobs, and treat Arjun like a servant. She finds out that Rajiv has a number of vices: smoking, alcohol, drugs, and a Caucasian girlfriend, Kelly, whom he continues to maintain a relationship with. Rajiv attempts to have sexual intercourse with Ganga, she refuses, and runs away from him, straight to Arjun, who takes her to India to her parents’ home. Once there, a mis-informed and enraged Suraj attempts to kill Arjun, and failing to do so, asks him to leave his house, which he does so; Ganga is locked in a room, awaiting the arrival of Kishorilal, and Rajiv, who will take her back with them to the U.S. and go ahead with the marriage ceremony.

Description: Rahul and the tomboy Anjali are students at St. Xavier College. They are the best of friends. One day Tina, the principal’s daughter, enrolls at St. Xavier. There he was deemed a maid servant and suddenly reach up with Prabhat Singh’s beautiful and Pretty daughter Meenakshi and her dumb and deaf niece Shruti. All of a sudden Shruti falls in love with Jeet and her brother Mangal decides to get them married but his love at first Pooja came back into his life, she was made a widow before she could be married to Jeet who commits suicide but finds him alive and okay she decides to marry him but all had to be sacrifice and Jeet was made to marry the deaf and dumb girl Shruti.

Description: Fida tells the story of Jai who one day happen to meet a young and beautiful woman called Neha and he falls in love with her at first sight. However trying to persuade Neha was in vane to Jai, because she has no such feelings for him as he has for her. Jai turn crazy in love with Neha and couldn’t find no more alternative to persuade her than suicide but his suicide attempt is unsuccessful since he is save by his best friend and Neha finally falls in love with Jai. Little by little Jai began to know that he is in love with a criminal daughter and her father owes 60 million to the underworld don. Jai decides to help Neha by grabbing the money for her because he is in love with her, to fulfilled his motive he decides to rob a bank but follow computer hacker Vikram to his house where he was trapped in a net. Neha his love turn against him and goes towards Vikram. The two accounts that were hacked by the bank belongs to underworld don Babu Anna and he also begins to chase Jai. Jai now has to run form the police and Babu Anna. But in the final showdown Jai was forced to kill Neha and rein Vikram in such a way that he had to distribute the remaining money to charity.
