Dorothy este luata pe sus de o tornada de la ferma ei din Kansas si este dusa intr-un taram magic, guvernat de marele vrajitor Oz. Si desi lucrurile sunt ciudate si frumoase, fetita vrea sa se intoarca acasa. Problema este ca atunci cand a cazut casa, a strivit-o pe vrajitoarea cea rea de la est, asa ca vrajitoarea cea rea de la vest vrea sa o razbune. In drum, Dorothy isi face niste prieteni ciudati – o sperietoare de ciori care vrea sa aiba minte, un om de tinichea care vrea o inima si un leu las care are nevoie de curaj. Summary: When a nasty neighbor tries to have her dog put to sleep, Dorothy takes her dog Toto, to run away. A cyclone appears and carries her to the magical land of Oz. Wishing to return, she begins to travel to the Emerald City where a great wizard lives. On her way she meets a Scarecrow who needs a brain, a Tin Man who wants a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who desperately needs courage.
