“Misterul gemenilor” / “The Unborn” este un thriller supranatural care aduce in prim-plan legenda unui dybbuk – un spirit malefic ce refuza sa paraseasca lumea materiala, intrand in corpul persoanelor pe care apoi le posedeaza. Casey Beldon (Odette Yustman) este bantuita de cosmaruri si viziuni terifiante ale unui copil cu ochi albastri. Tanara realizeaza ca a avut un frate geaman care nu a avut sansa de a se naste, iar spiritul acestuia o bantuie. Disperata, Casey cere ajutorul bunicii sale, care ii spune ca este vorba de un blestem de familie ce dateaza din timpul Germaniei naziste. Singura solutie de a scapa de dybbuk este o exorcizare prin care rabinul Sendak (Gary Oldman) vrea sa scape de cel care nu a fost nascut niciodata.

With Sendaks help, Casey uncovers the source of a family curse dating back to Nazi Germany – a creature with the ability to inhabit anyone or anything that is getting stronger with each possession. With the curse unleashed, her only chance at survival is to shut a doorway from beyond our world that has been pried open by someone who was never born.
