The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009)
Ajunsa la varsta de 50 de ani, Pippa Lee (Robin Wright Penn) este orgolioasa mama a doi gemeni si sotia devotata a unui publicist cu 30 de ani mai batran decat ea, motiv pentru care, atunci cand sotul ei Herb(Alan Arkin) decide sa paraseasca impreuna orasul New York si sa se stabilesca intr-o comunitate de pensionari din Marigold Village, femeia nu reuseste sa se adapteze la noul stil de viata si traverseaza o perioada dificila, care o aduce in pragul unei crize nervoase. Dupa ce Herb, care este inca viguros desi a suferit o interventie chirurgicala de bypass, se indragosteste de o femeie mult mai tanara decat ea pe nume Sandra, Pippa Lee incepe sa-si exploreze senzualitatea multa vreme ingropata si dezvolta o legatura stranie cu Chris, baiatul cu probleme al vecinilor ei.
Fumand pe ascuns, mergand prin somn si devenind dependenta de amfetamine, Pippa Lee rememoreaza intr-o serie de flashback-uri fragmente din trecutul ei de copil aflat in vesnice dispute cu o mama maniaca si dependenta de medicamente pe nume Suky(Maria Bello) sau de adolescenta rebela, care a fugit de acasa la varsta de 16 ani pentru a locui impreuna cu matusa ei lesbiana Trish si cu iubita acesteia Kat.
