Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009)
S-a lăsat noaptea peste Institutul Smithsonian din Washington, DC. Ghizii au plecat acasă, luminile au fost stinse, elevii sunt înveliţi în paturile lor… şi, totuşi, ceva incredibil se pregăteşte când fostul paznic de noapte Larry Daleyse trezeşte atras în cea mai mare şi uluitoare aventură în care istoria prinde viaţă. În a doua parte a poveştii Night at the Museum, Larry se confruntă cu o luptă atât de eroică, încât nu se putea desfăşura decât pe coridoarele celui mai mare muzeu din lume. Acum, Larry(Ben Stiller) trebuie să încerce să-şi salveze foştii prieteni neînsufleţiţi de la ce ar putea fi ultima înfruntare dintre splendorile de la Smithsonian, care, de la faimoasele picturi de pe pereţi până la navele spaţiale de pe holuri, au brusc o conştiinţă a lor.
În primul film turnat vreodată în complexul Smithsonian, distracţia începe când Larry lasă în urmă slujba modestă de paznic de muzee pentru a deveni un căutat inventator de produse info-comerciale Dispozitive Daley. Pare să aibă totul, dar ceva în viaţa lui lipseşte, ceva ce-l atrage înapoi, o veche obsesie, Muzeul de Istorie Naturală, unde a trăit cândva o noapte magică, unică în viaţă. Acolo, face o descoperire neliniştitoare. Exponatele sale preferate, cei mai buni prieteni ai săi, au fost etichetate ca fiind expirate. Summary: When the Museum of Natural History is closed for upgrades and renovations, the museum pieces are moved into federal storage at the famous Washington Museums. The centerpiece of the film will be bringing to life the Smithsonian Institution, which houses the world’s largest museum complex with more than 136 million items in its collections, ranging from the plane Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams) flew on her non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic and Al Capone’s (Jon Bernthal) rap sheet and mug shot to Dorothy’s ruby slippers, Fonzie’s jacket from Happy Days, the still from M*A*S*H and Archie Bunker’s lounge chair from All in the Family. After stealing a security guard’s ID badge, Larry (Ben Stiller) slips into the Archives of the Smithsonian, where Kahmunrah, an evil Pharaoh will come to life with the reestablishing of a tablet as a magical force in the museum bringing the old exhibits (Such as Theodore Roosevelt and Dexter) and new exhibits (like General Custer and Al Capone) back to life, and in conflict with each other.
