Filmul ne prezinta povestea a doi politisti, Martin Riggs – un politai rebel si cam sarit de pe fix care, de cand i-a murit sotia, se arunca in tot felul de actiuni riscante fara sa-i pese de viata, si Roger Murtaugh – politist de culoare, familist convins, tata a mai multor copii, el tocmai a implinit 50 de ani si isi spune intr-una ca a imbatrinit. Cei doi vor trece prin nenumarate scandaluri si urmariri astfel incat spectatorul nu are nici un moment in care s’ar putea plictisi.
Summary: Roger Murtaugh is a Los Angeles police sergeant who has just turned 50 years old, is assigned to investigate the death of Amanda Hunsaker, a prostitute who is one of the daughters of bank president Michael Hunsaker, a friend whom Roger has known since they were in the Vietnam War together, but Roger hasn’t seen Michael in 12 years. Beginning with this investigation, Roger is assigned a new partner Sergeant Martin Riggs, who has been suicidal ever since his wife Victoria “Vicky” Lynn Riggs died in a car crash in 1984. Riggs and Murtaugh’s investigation of Amanda’s death reveals that she was murdered. Upon hearing of this, Michael tells Murtaugh that he would like for whoever is behind Amanda’s murder to end up dead, like Amanda. Riggs and Murtaugh’s investigation continues and it makes them the targets of Shadow Company, a group of former Vietnam War era mercenaries who now bring heroin into the Los Angeles County region. Shadow Company’s leader, General Peter McAllister, and his right hand man, Mr. Joshua, want Riggs and Murtaugh dead, no matter what the cost

Tacanitul Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) si aparent sobrul familist Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) isi unesc fortele in acest al doilea episod din seria de succes Arma Mortala, care a avut la data premierei incasari de peste 147 de milioane de dolari. Riggs si Murtaugh sunt de aceasta data pe urmele unui respectabil diplomat sud-african care isi rotunjeste veniturile din traficul cu droguri. Desi, gratie informatiilor pretioase oferite de un personaj fara scrupule, dar haios in felul sau, interpretat de Joe Pesci, neinfricatul Riggs nu se poate atinge de vreun fir de par al ticalosului, deoarece acesta beneficiaza de imunitate diplomatica.
Dupa o serie impresionanta de situatii limita, pigmentate din plin cu explozii spectaculoase, vorbe de duh marca Mel Gibson, cei doi politisti de la LAPD ajung sa se lupte pe viata si pe moarte cu greii din cartelele internationale ale drogurilor pe un vas sud-african plin cu stupefiante.
Cu un final incandescent, Arma Mortala contine una dintre cele mai tari, si-n acelasi timp comice, scene de suspans din istoria filmului. Este vorba de secventa in care un Mel Gibson disperat incearca sa-i salveze viata colegului sau ramas intepenit intr-o toaleta capcana, programata sa explodeze.
Summary: When a red BMW crashes while they are chasing it, they discover the trunk is full of South African Krugerands. Their boss assigns them to protect a federal witness named Leo Getz to try and keep them out of trouble. When the witness reveals he has been doing business with South Africans, the story evolves into a fast moving chase.

Aceasta noua serie a celebrei comedii Arma mortala ii aduce din nou impreuna pe Riggs (Mel Gibson) si Murtaugh (Danny Glover) cei doi populari politisti din Los Angeles. Ultimul trebuie sa se retraga din Politie in week-endul urmator insa cei doi intra intr-o noua aventura. Ei trebuie sa rezolve un caz de trafic cu arme confiscate in care e implicat un fost coleg de breasla. Noua serie din Arma mortala prilejuieste si reintalnirea cu Joe Pesci, care isi reia rolul din Arma mortala II.
Summary: Martin Riggs finally meets his match in the form of Lorna Cole, a beautiful but tough policewoman. Together with Roger Murtaugh, his partner, the three attempt to expose a crooked former policeman and his huge arms racket. The crooked cop (Jack Travis) thwarts them at every turn, mainly by killing anyone who is about to talk, but Murtaugh has personal problems of his own as his family are brought into the equation.

Martin Riggs si Roger Murtaugh, simtindu-se prea batrani pentru a mai lucra, acum cu un nou politist alaturi, Lee Butters, si cu Leo Getz, devenit detectiv particular, trebuie sa opreasca bandele chineze de a face afaceri ilegale in Statele Unite. Unchiul Benny, seful cartierului Chinatown, a importat sclavi chinezi pentru a plati un artist in a face valuta chinezeaca falsa, cu care ii va rascumpara pe liderii bandelor inapoi de la armata chineza.
Summary: Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh, each now feeling too old to be doing what they’re doing, try to stop the Chinese Triads from doing their illegal business in the U.S. Uncle Benny, Chinatown’s mob boss, has imported Chinese slaves to pay for an artist to create counterfeit Chinese currency which the Triads (led by Jet Li) will use to buy the Four Fathers (heads of the Triads) back from the Chinese military. Chris Rock joins the team as a new cop and Rianne’s husband. Lorna is pregnant and considers marriage with Riggs, and Leo Getz is back, now as a private investigator.
