Flash of Genius 2008
Actiunea filmului “Flash of genius” se petrece in anii ’60 la Detroit si urmareste lupta titanica purtata de catre profesorul universitar de inginerie si inventatorul Robert Kearns impotriva Companiei producatoare de automobile Ford. Casatorit cu frumoasa profesoara Phyllis si avand impreuna cu aceasta sase copii, Bob Kearns traieste o alta versiune a celebrului vis american, crezand sincer ca a dat lovitura vietii lui si ca va putea asigura familiei sale un viitor indestulat atunci cand inventeaza un reper auto care avea sa fie utilizat ulterior de catre toate automobilele din lume – stergatoarele de parbriz.
Insa Ford Motor Company isi insuseste inventia lui Bob intr-o maniera neortodoxa si fara sa ii ofere inventatorului nici un fel de beneficiu material, motiv pentru care barbatul decide sa ii dea in judecata pe conducatorii marii corporatii si sa se reprezinte singur la proces. Initial ignorat si mai apoi amenintat de catre reprezentantii de vaza ai industriei de automobile americane, obsedat de ideea de dreptate cu orice pret si de convingerea ca munca cuiva trebuie recunoscuta si apreciata de catre cei care au cules roadele de pe urma ei, Bob Kearns este pe punctul de a pierde toate persoanele dragi si toate bunurile de valoare pe care le poseda in cursul unui proces interminabil cu acest Goliath al Statelor Unite ale Americii.

He becomes a man obsessed with justice and the conviction that his life’s work-or for that matter, anyone’s work-be acknowledged by those who stood to benefit.
