Bedtime Stories (2008)
Cel mai placut moment al zilei pentru un arhitect este sa le spuna povesti nepoatei si nepotului sau. In momentul in care amanuntele din imaginativele sale basme incep sa devina realitate, timidul arhitect trebuie sa-si ia inima in dinti si sa-si protejeze odraslele intr-o serie de aventuri care ne vor tine cu sufletul la gura. Regizor este Adam Shankman, cel care a regizat si Pacificatorul, debutul lui Vin Diesel in comedie.
La modul sincer si cat se poate de direct ma vad silit sa recunosc cu mana pe inima ca nu cred ca exista fantezie cinefila mai mare la mine-n creieras decat aceea de a-l vedea pe Adam Sandler intr-un rol negativ dintr-un film (cat de cat) serios. Eu sunt sigur ca poate face orice rol si ca baiatul asta este unul dintre cei mai talentati actori din generatia lui. Doar ca in jurul lui, ca in jurul atator alti actori, baietii spilcuiti si ferchezuiti de la marketing au facut un brand: baiat inteligent, bun la suflet, fraierit/fraierutz la inceput, care mai apoi se dovedeste a fi salvatorul situatiei.
Summary: The movie opens on the pages of a storybook. Marty Bronson tells us how he started a small hotel the Sunny where he and his children Skeeter and Wendy lived. While Wendy sits behind the desk of the hotel, a young Skeeter dressed like a bellhop takes a couple’s bags to their room. Marty tells his son a bedtime story before going downstairs to meet with Barry Nottingham. Skeeter comes downstairs to listen in. Seems Marty’s hotel is going bankrupt and Nottingham is offering to buy it. He tells Marty that if he signs over the hotel, that he will keep Skeeter on and one day Skeeter may run the hotel. Cut to the present where Marty tells us Skeeter is still working for Nottingham, but not running the place. The small hotel is now a state of the art multi-story hotel. Skeeter is now the maintenance man. Skeeter is preparing the microphone where Mr. Nottingham is going to make a speech. Kendall (Guy Pierce) tells Skeeter to make sure the microphone works. Skeeter makes funny noises into the microphone and the crowd looks puzzled. Mickey (Russell Brand) a waiter at the hotel and Skeeter’s friend watches and laughs.
