Ecranizat dupa romanul cu acelasi nume, Angels & Demons urmareste un simbolist renumit de la Harvard, Robert Langdon, bine cunoscutul Tom Hanks, care e chemat de o companie de cercetare elvetiana sa analizeze un simbol misterios imprimat in pieptul cadavrului unui fizician.

Langdon descopera dovezi inimaginabile, ale renasterii unei fratii antice cunoscuta cu numele de Illuminati, cea mai puternica organizatie underground ce a existat vreodata.

Acest film este un prequel la Codul lui Da Vinci, si prezinta o aventura a lui Robert Langdon inaintea celei descrisa in Codul lui Da Vinci.

Summary: Despite his notorious relationship with the Church, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is once again called upon to decipher the clues to a catastrophic conspiracy. The Pope has died, and before conclave can begin to determine his successor, the four preferitti (primary hopefuls for the papacy) are kidnapped. An ominous threat of their hourly demise, along with the complete annihilation of Vatican City, is issued as an elaborate revenge scheme for a persecuted group known as the Illuminati.
